WELCOME TO STRETTONS

Strettons is a medium sized independent firm of Chartered Surveyors and Auctioneers established in 1931 by Jack and Sidney Tobin.  While three sons of the founders’ family are still engaged full time, we have ensured the continuity of the practice with a board of 11 directors, 9 associate directors and 4 consultants.  Our strengths are our integrity, independence, ability to innovate and use technology and the personal service we provide. 

Many clients have been with us for 50 years and we now act for the full spectrum of property owners and users from private individuals, government departments, charitable institutions, property companies to multi nationals.  In dealing both with clients and our team of staff our aim has been to retain the ethos of a family firm while moving into the 21st Century.  That is why it is not only clients, who stay with us for decades, many staff chose to do so.

We have a staff of approximately 90, based in 5 offices at Walthamstow, City/Spitalfields, Battersea, Stratford and Harlow.  The geographical bias is east London, City fringe, Essex and the M11 corridor, but the auction and portfolio management departments work nationwide.
