Savills - Retail Letting - Crawley, County Oak Retail Park

Date: 03 Mar 2006

Standard Life, advised by Savills, has let a newly refurbished unit of 5,987 sq ft (556 sq m) to Paul Simon (London) Limited at County Oak Retail Park, Crawley, Sussex.

The rent sets a new high for the park at £38 per sq ft (£409 per sq m). Paul Simon has taken a new 15-year lease. The letting is the last unit within the refurbished and sub-divided former Courts premises in which other recent lettings have taken place to Comet and Next.

Tenants on the 145,000 sq ft (13,470 sq m) retail park include Currys, PC World, Halfords, Staples, Harveys, Allied and Carpetright.

Andrew Collier, Savills director, says: "This is an important letting, setting a new rental tone for the park. The park has undergone a partial refurbishment and following this letting and the recent letting to Next, we should see further asset management on the park this year".

Savills has advised Standard Life on these lettings and the on-going asset management at the park. Harvey Spack Field advised Paul Simon.
