Markham Vaughan Gillingham - Leisure Letting - Milton Keynes, The Hub
Date: 03 Apr 2006
Frontier Estates, advised by Markham Vaughan Gillingham and Patrick Punch, has pre-let 8,848 sq ft (822 sq m) of restaurant space to Strada and Café Rouge at The Hub, central Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.
Strada, the pizza and pasta company, has pre-let Unit 500A on a new 25-year lease. The unit provides a total of 4,442 sq ft (412 sq m).
Unit 500B, totalling 4,332 sq ft (402 sq m), has also been taken on a 25-year lease by Café Rouge. Both restaurants comprise ground and mezzanine floors and have external seating on a landscaped piazza. The scheme is quoting rentals of £30 per sq ft.
Tracey Pollard of Markham Vaughan Gillingham comments: "There was a lot of competition for this restaurant space and both were selected by the landlord as they offer new restaurant formats to Milton Keynes."
"The Hub is about the creation of a quality pitch for Milton Keynes, which to date has lacked a natural home for both higher end restaurant and higher end fashion tenants."
The Hub is located on the corner of Midsummer Boulevard, Witan Gate and Avebury Boulevard, and this high-quality mixed-use scheme will include 50,000 sq ft (4,645 sq m) of commercial office space, a three- and four-star hotel, a choice of new bars and restaurants and a retail offer aimed at mid- to high-end fashion and lifestyle tenants.
Café Rouge and Strada were advised by Teague & Capital.
