Sanderson Weatherall - General - EG Awards, EG Property Adviser of the Year
Date: 02 Oct 2006
Sanderson Weatherall, national firm of surveyors and property consultants, has been crowned Property Adviser of the Year for the North East and Yorkshire at the Estates Gazette awards for the second year running. Shortlisted to the final three out of eleven possible contenders earlier in the year, the firm beat rival agents King Sturge and Lambert Smith Hampton to take home the prestigious title at Tuesday's ceremony.
Held at Grosvenor House in London and hosted by Irish entertainer Graham Norton, the event saw close to 1400 UK property professionals attend to celebrate the best the industry has to offer. Leeds-based firm, Evans Property Group, also clinched the Property Company of the Year award for the region and Sanderson Weatherall's managing director, Peter Dunlop, presented the award to John Bell, managing director of Evans.
Tim Catterall, managing director of agency & development at Sanderson Weatherall, collected the firm's award on the night. He says, "Receiving this high profile accolade for the second year running is a fantastic result for our business and is a tribute to the efforts of everyone who has worked so hard over the year. It both highlights and commends the consistently high quality work we achieve for clients throughout the region and beyond, and it is particularly gratifying to know that the property community itself has voted for us to help us accomplish this."
The property industry voted for the winners via an online poll which ran on Estate Gazette's website from 1 June to 12 July. Each person was allowed only one vote and was not allowed to vote for their own company.
