Lambert Smith Hampton - Industrial Development - Daventry, New Industrial Site at Great Central Way
Date: 02 Nov 2006
Commercial property agent, Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has disposed of 16 acres of land at Great Central Way in Woodford Halse near Daventry.
The land has been sold for just under the £1 million asking price to a Herefordshire based development company who plan to develop the land into an industrial and office Business Park.
The units will be available on a leasehold basis and can have a bespoke design that specifically suits the tenant.
Charles Smedley of LSH explains, "This site, which is currently grazing land, had been on the market for many years with many different agents. LSH advised the vendor that the site was not attracting purchasers because the planning conditions on the site were too restrictive."
LSH acted on behalf of the vendor in applying for a change in the planning conditions and widening the consent to include B1 and B2 use, which meant the site could be developed into a Business Park.
Charles went on to say, "This is now an exciting opportunity with a new owner who intends to carry out the new proposed development. The site is well placed between the M1 and M40, in a rural location, which is still readily accessible. The site will cater for local and regional demand."
