Markham Vaughan Gillingham - Retail Letting - Ebbw Vale, Lettings at Festival Park
Date: 03 Nov 2006
Eagle One Limited, advised by Markham Vaughan Gillingham (MVG), has secured a number of significant lettings that include two new anchor tenants at Festival Park Factory Shopping Village, its 100,000 sq ft (9,290 sq m) retail scheme in Ebbw Vale, South Wales.
Sports World has taken an 8,000 sq ft (743 sq m) superstore unit on a 10-year lease and Ex-Zara, the high street fashion retailer, has taken four units totalling 5,000 sq ft (464 sq m) also on a 10-year lease. Both retailers are paying base and turnover rents.
Additional lettings at Festival Park include Ravel, Whittard, Madhouse, Gizmo and Massarella's Café Nova Coffee Shop. In total over 24,000 sq ft has been let at the scheme over the past 6 months with now only one unit remaining.
Nick Brady of Markham Vaughan Gillingham's Bristol office comments: "These latest occupiers will have a significant impact on Festival Park bringing with them a range of products that will further boost visitor numbers. The new lettings will address shortfalls in the tenant mix and we now believe the scheme will be able to optimise its market potential by becoming one of the most popular shopping destinations within the region."
