Knight Frank - Appointment - Newcastle, Tyne and Wear

James Platts, joint head of Residential Development at the Newcastle office of global property consultancy Knight Frank, has been promoted to partner.

James, 40, joined Knight Frank in Newcastle in 2004, having previously worked for agents Sanderson Weatherall and Colliers CRE in Leeds.

His major clients include: HJ Banks & Co Ltd, Bellway Homes, Crosby Lend Lease, Persimmon Homes and Silverlink Holdings Ltd.

James runs the land team within Knight Frank's Residential Development department, having previously been part of the Residential Development Consultancy team within the Newcastle office.

Kevin Thubron, who runs the Newcastle new homes sales team within Knight Frank's residential development division, commented: "James's promotion is very well deserved. He has extensive knowledge of the residential property market throughout the North East of England specialising in residential development and consultancy. He has a proven track record in agency disposals and acquisitions having been successful in a number of large acquisitions and disposals throughout the North East."
