The Gateway is set to become Leeds' most convenient development with the recent announcement of a letting to Mr Ramesh Patel that will see a Best One convenience store added to the array of facilities at the site of the £150M mixed-use scheme. The news also marks a milestone of the letting of the final retail unit at The Gateway.

Year on year the 'City Living in Leeds' report highlights the public's desire for convenience stores on their doorstep. As Leeds has grown, such stores have gradually moved in to the city offering residents and workers alike a place to get more than just a pint of milk after hours. However, few are as convenient as the latest letting at The Gateway. The 1,500 sq ft. unit is due to be completed by the end of September and will and will join the likes of Hirst and Miller Hair Studio, Motiv8 Gym, Aroma coffee house, ETAP hotel and Suburban Style Bar in offering occupiers with all they could desire and right on their door step. This important letting makes The Gateway the city's most convenient city centre development, able to satisfy the demands of those who live and work in the city.

The Gateway Development Director Stephen Holman comments: "The final retail letting at The Gateway is a significant milestone in the schemes development. Mr Patel continues: "The location is fantastic with it being in the city centre and surrounded by the likes of the hotel and apartments; it's like a little village down here."

Construction of Phase Two at The Gateway is approaching completion and will boast 25,000 sq ft of prime office space and a further 298 luxury apartments. When the scheme is completed it will provide 650 apartments and a total of 40,000 sq ft. of office space.
