Hughes Ellard - Appointment - Southampton

Date: 19 Jun 2008

A commercial property specialist in Hampshire has signed up another expert to its team.

Andy Gibbs, 38, joins independent consultancy Hughes Ellard as a business space agent covering the Southampton, Portsmouth and Winchester triangle.

The senior chartered surveyor was previously with Dreweatt Neate LLP at Newbury for five years followed by a similar spell at the regional property firm's Andover office.

Andy, a father-of-one from Winchester, joins fellow business space agents Russell Mogridge, Gary Jeffries, Zoe Harris and Leanne Channon.

Hughes Ellard, one of the few remaining independent commercial property firms in Hampshire, employs 18 people and has an office in Fareham and one at Enterprise House, Ocean Village, Southampton, where Andy will be based.

Andy steps into a role recently vacated by David Podesta who, after many years working in the commercial property market locally, has taken a career break.

Andy said: "I wanted to work with a company that was going places and was drawn to the culture of professionalism and strong sense of pride that runs through Hughes Ellard. It has the atmosphere of a family firm but with a blue-chip ethos of continually delivering results for clients."

Russell, who heads up the business space team, said: "Andy is a welcome addition as we continue to ramp up operations in the Southampton, Portsmouth and Winchester triangle. He has a wealth of experience that will come into play."

David said: "I wish Andy every success at Hughes Ellard. They are a great firm with an excellent client base and ambitious plans for the future. I hope he enjoys his time with them as much as I have."
