A T Jones - Appointment - Milton Keynes

Date: 20 Jun 2008

A T Jones, the Hampshire-based suspended ceiling and partitioning specialists who recently set up a new divisional office in Milton Keynes, have appointed Dave Woollard as their new Regional Manager.

Dave will be responsible for overseeing all projects in the newly-formed Milton Keynes office and managing the team of surveyors, contract managers and administration staff. The division will also utilise staff and resources from the company's head office in Fareham.

Earlier this year, A T Jones purchased freehold offices at Newton Court, Knowlhill, as part of a major expansion of the company's activities in the area. This strategic location will allow the company to build up new business and service organisations in the Midlands, East Anglia and London, as well as the local Milton Keynes area with its vibrant, fast-growing business community.

ATJ are currently working on some local projects including the fit out for the Abbeygate C4.1 development in the city centre. This £3.5m new build project for HBG Construction comprises high end and social housing for a scheme of 450 apartments. One of their largest projects to date, ATJ have been involved with the construction and installation of all partition walls and suspended ceilings.

Dave will also work closely with Karen Chappell, Business Development Manager, to actively identify new business opportunities as well as maintaining contact with their existing contractors in the locality.

Dave is no newcomer to the world of interior fit out and brings with him a wealth of knowledge of the business. He has been employed in the industry for the past 21 years and has worked his way up to management by starting out as a fitter, progressing to site management and on to project management. He previously worked as a senior project manager for Optima in High Wycombe.

Dave is looking forward to his new role. "I am really excited about the challenge of expanding ATJ's business and want to make a real mark on the company", he says. "When I first came into contact with ATJ, I liked their professionalism and their work ethic. I have previously worked for much larger organisations, but this is one of the true family businesses and I like the feel of that. It is a friendly atmosphere and they have a very personal approach to things. At the same time they are a really go-ahead organisation and I am relishing the prospect of having much more involvement in the company and being part of its overall development."
