Grosvenor, with the support of Jones Lang LaSalle, has successfully completed the renewal of the ISO 14001 certification for the comprehensive environmental management system at four of its shopping centres. This successful renewal cements the work done since the original certification of the four schemes last year and confirms Grosvenor and Jones Lang LaSalle as leaders in the field of responsible property management.
Richard Fowke, Senior Surveyor at Grosvenor commented: "Responsible property investment is integral to our business and achieving ISO 14001 certification for our shopping centres is an important element of this."
Jones Lang LaSalle's Health Safety and Environment Manager, John Miller, sees this work as an essential component of the firm's sustainability strategy: "External certification has brought a challenging but welcome rigour to the implementation of the environmental management system which we operate across our entire managed portfolio. This fantastic achievement on the Grosvenor schemes confirms the success of our programme."
Carl Foreman, Jones Lang LaSalle portfolio manager commented: "Working with a progressive client like Grosvenor Fund Management has made for a great partnership. We have experienced a complete convergence of thinking and effort; the teams on all four shopping centres have risen to the challenge and have contributed enormously to this success through their enthusiasm and engagement. By obtaining the renewal this year, Jones Lang LaSalle has shown that it is committed to improving Health & Safety standards on an annual basis"
