Douglas Duff - Mixed-Use Development - Milton Keynes, Bletchley
Date: 25 Jun 2008
Paragon:MK, a major new commercial development in Bletchley, Milton Keynes, was launched this month and enjoyed an enthusiastic reception for its superb headquarters-style facilities. Constructed on a mature employment site opposite the new MK Dons football stadium, it provides substantial warehouse premises and offices for sale or to let through Douglas Duff and joint London agents Wright & Partners. Paragon:MK is the second project in Milton Keynes to be developed jointly by Volume Developments UK and PPG Southern.
"Paragon:MK is a unique product, ideal for high-value industries requiring quality business premises" said Jonathan Whittle of Douglas Duff. "It is significant in several respects: it provides state-of-the-art warehouse facilities for sale or to let, it has many environmentally-efficient features, it makes a big contribution to brownfield-site regeneration and is the largest single unit to be built in Bletchley for many years."
On a self-contained site of 6.9 acres (2.78ha), Paragon:MK extends to some 139,000 sq ft (12,916 sq m) including 126,776 sq ft (11,778 sq m) of warehouse space and 12,250 sq ft (1,138 sq m) of offices. Facilities include 12m minimum internal clear height, 10 dock-level doors and two surface-level doors, two-storey quality offices and ancillary areas and a large, secure yard with 142 car parking spaces and 26 HGV parking spaces. The building also features energy-saving and sustainable construction elements including plenty of natural daylight in the warehouse, solar water heating and a bio-mass boiler system.
