Bridgehouse Hotels, advised by Savills, is marketing the long leasehold of Cannizaro House, a four-star Wimbledon Hotel. The hotel is being marketed for a price in the region of £20 million.
The 46 bedroom hotel situated near the All England Tennis Club is a favourite haunt for international tennis stars Boris Becker, Pat Cash and John McEnroe. The hotel has excellent conferencing and banqueting facilities with five function rooms for meetings, private parties and weddings. There is also a bar and restaurant with an outdoor terrace overlooking Cannizaro Park.
Gerard Nolan, director of Savills, comments: "Cannizaro House presents a fantastic opportunity for an investor to purchase an extremely profitable hotel with the best location in Wimbledon, the likes of which rarely come to the market.
"As the only four-star hotel in Wimbledon, Cannizaro House is a particularly attractive place to stay during the summer months when guests can enjoy the beautiful grounds that the hotel is set in and indeed perhaps some tennis too."
The 18th century hotel was originally a private residence let to London aristocrats before it was bought by the Home Secretary and Secretary of State for War, Viscount Melville who lived there from the end of 18th century to the early 19th century.
