Wincanton attracts new business.
Marstons and Travelodge, who recently announced a collaboration to locate together on sites around the country, have secured their first such venture. The two businesses will be the first occupiers at Long Close, Wincanton which fronts the busy A303 linking London with Exeter.
Alder King and Williams Gunter Hardwick acted for the six acre site owner, Hopkins Developments, who have a further 3 ¼ acres of land to be developed for two or three more operators. Marstons are planning one of their family tavern style pubs and Travelodge hope to create a 57 bedroom hotel.
James Gregory, partner at Alder King commented: "It is excellent news that we are able to welcome two well respected and popular brand names to the development. They will bring a new offer to Wincanton and benefit both the business and tourist community who utilise the busy trunk road. Furthermore there will be a number of jobs created and we look forward to announcing further occupiers shortly."
