Legal & General has appointed Mark Russell as Fund Manager.
Legal & General Property ("LGP" / "the Company") announces that it has appointed Mark Russell as Fund Manager for the growing £750 million L&G Managed Pension Fund, which over the past 5 years has delivered top quartile performance and continues to attract long term investment.
Mark joins from Prestbury Investment Holdings Ltd where he was responsible for several property portfolios. Prior to this he worked for LGP from 2000 to 2006 with responsibility for investment and asset management on the Linked Life Fund.
The Managed Fund is LGP's longest operating property fund having been established in 1971 and invests in low to medium risk assets on behalf of over 300 occupational pension funds. The Fund has recently been building on the increased allocation from pension funds for real estate by new purchases that totalled over £275m in 2009.
