Furniture importer takes Gloucester warehouse at about £5 per sq ft.
An importer of European furniture has invested in new premises at the Central Trading Estate, Cole Avenue in Gloucester.
Furnish UK, which imports high quality furniture from the continent, acquired Units 1-2 Central Trading Estate on a five year lease off a quoting rent of £5 per sq ft. The building is a double bay warehouse, which totals 8,863 sq ft.
Furnish UK acquired the new premises to keep up with consumer demand for their products. Adam Grimes, director at Furnish UK said: "Following the success of our business over the last year we decided to invest in larger premises so that we can expand the range of products we offer and meet demand from our customers. Central Trading Estate is ideal for us because it is close to both the motorway and city centre and so is easy for us to make deliveries to our customers."
Emma Smith, surveyor at Alder King, let the unit to Furnish UK on behalf of LCP Real Estate. She said: "Central Trading Estate is in an excellent location off Cole Avenue. The premises have ample car parking on site, with easy loading facilities to the south and west of the site so they are perfect for storage and distribution purposes."
The Central Trading Estate is located two miles north of Junction 12 of the M5 and two miles south of Gloucester city centre. Nearby occupiers include the Plumb Centre, Pipe Centre, Collinson Tiles, Baylis Vauxhall and Formula One Autocentres.
