Knight Frank recruits new head of Edinburgh office.
Global property consultancy, Knight Frank has appointed Alasdair Steele to head-up its Edinburgh office and lead the investment team in Edinburgh.
Alasdair has joined Knight Frank as partner following his departure from DTZ where he held the post of director. He has also served appointments with Donaldsons and Eric Young and Co.
Working alongside John Rae, partner, investment at Knight Frank's Glasgow office, Alasdair will expand the firm's investment services. He will also collaborate with Nadir Khan-Juhoor, partner, commercial agency to develop the firm's commercial division across Scotland. Alasdair will lead the firm's team in Edinburgh and report directly to Drew Oswald, Managing Partner.
With over 14 years of experience in the commercial property sector, Alasdair has been responsible for a number of high-profile acquisitions throughout his career including the Norwich Union call centre for Aaim for £25 million, Meadowbank retail park Edinburgh for CBRE Investors at £34 million and The St Giles Shopping Centre, Elgin for Upland Investments for £19 million.
Notable sales have included Princes Exchange for the Crown Estate at £55.5 million, Exchange Crescent for Standard Life for £53.5 million and offices in West George Street in Glasgow for NAG at £14.5 million.
