Nacore - General - Proposed Merger

Discussions are currently taking place which may lead to a worldwide merger of sister organisations NACORE International and IDRC. The International Boards of each have announced that they are actively examining ways of facilitating the merger.

Commenting on the joint statement made in the US by NACORE and IDRC, David Turner, President of NACORE Europe.UK said, "Both organisations in the UK have long promoted the idea of closer union. The situation in Europe particularly calls for this since the profession of corporate real estate is relatively new on this side of the Atlantic and we have all felt that the message is more important than the medium.

"While sucessfully developing and growing NACORE, our policy of cooperation, with joint events and meetings, has helped to raise the profile of corporate real estate and emphasise the importance of real estate to company profits.

Recommendations for such a merger are being produced for both organisations to discuss at greater length. Further information is expected in approximately twol months' time.
