Superdrug Relocates Second Reading Store

Blair Kirkman has acted for Superdrug in its acquisition of 55/59 Broad Street, Reading. Superdrug is relocating from its unit in Friar Street, which Blair Kirkman is disposing of. The new Broad Street unit will be Superdrug's second unit in the town. It is situated in a prime pedestrianised location near Boots, Woolworths, River Island and Waterstones.

Superdrug's acquisition is a result of the sub-division of the Littlewoods store into three units, two fronting the prime Broad Street and one, to the rear, fronting Friar Street.

The unit has a 32 ft frontage and comprises 622 sq m (6,700 sq ft) on the ground floor and 580 sq m (6,250 sq ft) on the first floor. A new 25 year FRI lease has been agreed at a current rent of £360,000 with five-year reviews.

Churston Heard acted for Littlewoods.
