WH Smith has surrendered its lease at 42C Gyle Shopping Centre, Edinburgh to the Universities Superannuation Scheme Ltd.

The unit comprises 230 sq ft (21.40 sq m) of sales space with an additional 128 sq ft (11.90 sq m) of storage on the ground floor. The 25 year lease expires in October 2018 with a passing rent of £30,000 per annum. An undisclosed reverse premium was paid.

Universities Superannuation Scheme Ltd was represented by Jones Lang La Salle; WH Smith was represented by Eric Young & Co.
