Services	The Environment Trust is a charity and development trust based in Tower Hamlets in London's East End. Its aim is to achieve sustainable development by improving the social, economic and physical environment for community benefit, and this is reflected in the variety of its work: By creating Fair Finance, an independent community development finance institution, it is helping communities in some of the most disadvantaged areas in London. By developing various renewable energy schemes it is helping tackle climate change and regenerate local areas through creating employment. Through its Education Team, it offers educational workshops in schools around themes of biodiversity, nature and gardening. Organised events help local people in becoming more involved in improving and using their local green spaces. With its partners, it helps to develop local and national government open spaces policy. By developing Green Homes, it helps to meet the challenge of providing affordable, environmentally sustainable housing. Using its more that 20 years’ experience, it provides expert consultancy services in community consultation and involvement in planning and development to a wide range of clients including local authorities and private companies. Working with partners, it is increasing the number of quality, affordable workspace available to social enterprises.
