Free Web Counter

What it involves

A free-of-charge web counter that shows you how effective your website is. The counter will send the following information to a single e-mail address once a week.

Visitor information for the past seven days:
- total number of visitors
- top 5 viewed pages
- top 5 'referrers' (the last websites that visitors used before coming to your site)
Running totals of these figures since the counter started.

You can install the service yourself and we will supply you with the code that needs to be on each web page of your site (if you want to include them all in the counter). For each page that you include in the counter, you need to insert a MaxiMalls logo that has a link to our site. It looks like this.

Alternatively, we can install the counter on your website for £90.

You can use this counter even if we do not host your website.

FREE WEB COUNTER TERMS
1. By submitting this application for a free web counter ("Counter") for the website specified in your application ("Site"), you are making an offer to enter into an agreement by which we will provide and you will have use of a Counter in accordance with these terms. No contract will exist unless and until we accept your offer by sending you the code that enables the Counter to work ("Counter Code"). We reserve the right to decline any application for a Counter. 
2. You must only use the Counter Code on the Site, and not on any other website. The Site must relate to commercial property or construction; if you change the nature of the Site then you must advise us of this promptly and re-apply for the Counter. The Site must not contain any material that is pornographic, offensive or illegal, and the site must not be one that seeks to generate traffic by any form of spam or other unlawful unsolicited communications.
3. You must copy the Counter Code into the source of your Site without alteration, and in strict compliance with our instructions. In particular, without limitation, the button connected to the Counter Code must be placed on your Site in such a way that it is clearly visible to Site users once the page has fully loaded, and must not be altered in size or appearance.
4. The Counter Code will send a signal to our server each time any page containing the Counter Code is accessed. This may lead to slower download time or (if our server goes down or cannot be accessed over the Internet) may lead to delayed downloads or unavailability of your web pages. We are not liable for the consequences of these events.
5. Copyright of the Counter Code belongs to us. You may only use it for the Site, and you may not give or sell it to others.
6. We will send you a weekly email giving data from the Counter (the "Weekly Report"). We are not liable for any delay or non-delivery of the Weekly Report, but we will re-send the Weekly Report on request if the relevant data is still readily available to us.
7. This Counter service is intended only to provide general information about website traffic for your Site. It is not intended to replace full, commercially-available website tracking and traffic-monitoring services. Accordingly, we accept no liability in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise for any direct or indirect loss or damage you suffer in connection with the Counter service, including without limitation any loss or damage arising from any Weekly Report being incomplete or undelivered, or any unavailability or degradation of the Counter service. Nothing in these terms will limit or exclude any liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
8. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate this agreement at any time without notice. You may terminate this agreement at any time by removing the Counter Code from your Site and notifying us that you wish to terminate. Upon any termination of this agreement, you must promptly remove all Counter Code from your Site.
